What is Health and Wellness Coaching?

Behavior change can be a complicated matter.


The purpose of Health & Wellness coaching is to: 

1. help individuals identify/discover what it important to them 

2. bridge the gap between where the individual currently stands and where the individual would like to be 

Using motivational interviewing, a coach helps the individual generate a vision based on their values. 


The coach works alongside the individual to foster motivation around a realistic action plan and continues to serve as an accountability partner throughout the process of habit formation.


The Health & Wellness Coaching environment is a safe, non-judgmental, non-pushy, empathetic atmosphere. The coach is committed to the individual's best interest and will remain a positive support throughout the highs and lows of the change process.

What topics are covered in Health and Wellness Coaching?

It depends on the needs of the individuals. What is your "why" (for better health) and what are the Key Performance Indicators that are necessary to reach that "why"? 

Common topics include, but are not limited to: 

Exercise, Nutrition, Weight loss, Sleep, Stress Management, Relationships, Personal or Professional goals, Spirituality, Life balance, Time management, Self-talk

What are your specialties?

My background is in athletics, parenting, perfectionism, and corporate employee wellness. I enjoy working with a variety of age ranges and life experiences.

Are you a personal trainer? Therapist? Nutritionist?

Nope. Nope. and Nope. 

I don't write specific workout plans, but I will help direct you to resources and brainstorm different forms and quantities of exercise. 

I love exploring current perspectives including perfectionism, negative story-telling, imposter syndrome, and all-or-nothing mentality, but I am not trained to help you work through traumas or mental illness. I'm always happy to help connect you with a licensed professional. 

Finally, I do not write nutrition plans or look at macronutrients/micronutrients. I'm happy to make suggestions based on USDA guidelines, but usually an individual already has an idea in mind about where they can personally improve nutritionally. I'm here to help make that a reality.
